从加中商会会长武航提议开展路演活动起，经过半年多的筹备，加中商会2017年年度大戏，加西创新和创业路演活动，于2017年5月18日在卡尔加里大学隆重的拉开了序幕，一百四十人的会议厅座无虚席。
本次活动由Mgen1.5的会长李思颖美女作为主持。加中商会的会长武航做了开场发言。在武航的发言中，他提到了创新是推动社会和经济发展的力量，而创业是现在商业社会的热门词。加中商会举办这次路演活动，就是为了有创新和创业想法的企业家搭筑一个平台，为他们搭起和专业人士、潜在投资者、导师交流的桥梁。武航同时介绍了这个路演活动的概况。加中商会2017加西创新和创业路演将由一系列的活动组成，包括各类讲座、导师配对、商业计划书的评比等等。最后的压轴大戏将由我们的梦想评审团评选出各类类别的商业计划书优胜者，并颁发奖品。
这次的路演活动受到了卡尔加里各届的人士广泛支持。这次路演的冠名赞助商，Calvista LLP的合伙人Sharjeel Abdur代表路演活动的赞助商和合办方进行了讲话，对于加中商会的这个活动表达了高度的肯定和支持。
卡尔加里中国领馆商务参赞何东阳领事表达了领馆对于这次路演活动的支持，也预祝路演活动取得成功。
继何东阳领事之后，前阿尔伯塔省议员栾晋生先生也进行了精彩的讲话。栾先生指出，在当前阿尔伯塔经济低迷的情况下，经济多元化是当务之急。加中商会的这个路演活动非常符合当前经济的需求，给有意向创业的各界人士提供了一个很好的平台。
卡尔加里的资深人士，Grande Cache Coal Corp.的CEO汪常青博士作为开幕式的嘉宾也进行了简短的发言。汪博士风趣幽默的发言博得了大家阵阵的掌声和笑声。
开场嘉宾的发言结束后，这次开幕式的重头戏，各位演讲嘉宾纷纷登场。
盛炜博士，作为一个在卡尔加里的创业的成功华人企业家，介绍了他如何由一个科学家转变成为一个企业家，以及他在创业和守业中经历过的种种困难，并和大家分享了他的创业心得。
加拿大皇家银行的商业客户经理David Bai先生向大家介绍了中小企业如何在加拿大取得各种资助和申请过程中的各种诀窍。难得见到银行从业人员如此激情四射。
在两位主讲人结束以后，阵容豪华的panelist上场了。除了刚刚做过演讲的盛博士和白先生之外，加中商会还请到了同样是华人企业家的杰出代表的张光宇、高科技创业代表的常刚博士以及以及青年才俊刘雯律师。Panelists和听众们分享了他们创业的经验和经历，并给听众的各类问题提供了专业的意见。台上台下欢声笑语，互动热烈。
开幕式的正式部分结束以后，现场仍然气氛热烈，嘉宾和听众就各种创业的想法和商机进行了交流。

A series events to walk the venture entrepreneurs through all training sessions. The finale is scheduled to be in November, 2017. A cash reward of $1,688 to be offered to the winner.Please join us on July 18, 2017 evening for a CCCA Roadshow event. The event is a good mix of training seminar of business plan drafting and an introduction of Canadian Intellectual Property.
Part 1: How to write a winning business plan? Topic to be presented by ATB Financial Tony Chu and his colleague.
Nearly all business experts agree that to have a good business plan is critical for an venture business to sell your business idea. It is also a good management tool once the business gains its ground.
A good business plan help to formulate your idea and evaluate your business. Tony and his colleague is going to bring his expertise to address the important elements and tips of business plan drafting.
Part 2: An introduction of Canadian Intellectual Property - Brought it to you by Dr. Morgan Guo from Innovate Calgary.
To protect Intellectual property is critical to protect innovation. It is our pleasure to have Dr. Morgan Guo from Innovate Calgary to address the intellectual property topic in Canada.
Morgan Guo is the Intellectual Property Manager - Life Sciences, she works with University of Calgary researchers to manage intellectual property and commercialization of new discoveries in agricultural and life sciences.
Dr. Guo's previous experience includes working as the Technology Transfer Manager at the University of Lethbridge on research partnership building, early stage technology development and commercialization. She has provided consulting services to various small businesses in Southern Alberta on intellectual property strategy. In addition, Dr. Guo also worked for Monsanto as breeding and logistic specialist.
Dr. Guo received her PhD in Physiological and Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.
The event also provides a great networking opportunity to all venture entrepreneurs, we have invited professors from university and financial industry experts to share their knowledge and experience.

David Bocking has over 30 years’ experience in the technology, energy and health sectors. He has held executive roles in sales, product management and marketing across many sectors. He is an accomplished growth leader and consultant skilled at creating enterprise value from new market entry, product development, technology adoption and business model innovation. He is an exceptional communicator, who quickly develops empathy for customer problems, creates solutions, and distills complex scenarios into a strategic vision coupled with a corresponding business model to create, deliver and capture value. In his current role at Alberta Innovates, he has provided coaching to hundreds of startups and delivers workshops on Lean Startup Thinking, Business Models and Customer Development.
2. How to value your business and attract investors wisely By Jeremy Gilman, Principal, McRock Capital
Jeremy Gilman is the Principal of McRock Capital, a venture capital firm based in Toronto and Calgary. Jeremy is focused on the origination, structuring, and execution of new investment opportunities in the Industrial IT sector. His responsibilities also include working closely with McRock’s portfolio companies on corporate strategy, risk management, business plan execution, and financial planning. Jeremy is also a Director of CFA Society Calgary.

Eileen Ashmore, President & Owner, Strategic Timelines Inc.
Eileen Ashmore, MBA, CMC is a technology funding specialist who works with technology driven businesses to assist them prepare provincial and federal funding submissions along with preparing the supporting business tools - business and marketing strategies/plans, financial projections, market assessment and competitor analysis for these submissions. Eileen has 30+ years management consulting experience and has worked with hundreds of B2B companies.
Bruce Gilkes, Owner, Technology Pathfinders
Bruce Gilkes is a senior executive with Technology Pathfinders, a company that mentors small and medium enterprises. Before that, he has founded a computer training and simulation company, C4i Consultants Inc. and grown it into a multinational organization. He has several patents to his name and was awarded the Alberta Centennial Medal and the Canadian Forces Decoration and the NATO Special Service Medal. Earlier in his career, Mr. Gilkes served full time and part time in the Canadian Army for 29 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.
As with our previous event, we also invite professionals and successful entrepreneurs as our special guests. Participants of the events will also have opportunities to mingle with these experts.

我们邀请的专家评委包括前任大学商学院MBA项目的总监，Claire Dixon。Claire 有着学霸级别的教育背景。她是剑桥大学的工程硕士，之后获得了哈佛商学院MBA。她在EMBA program执教的策略管理课程一直是最受欢迎的科目。Claire 现在是卡尔加里大学商学院的CDL Rockies的主要负责人。 CDL Rockies是大学商学院近年来最大的一个战略层面的举措，目标就是帮助创新创业者从科研阶段成长为高速发展的企业。我们期待她对我们路演总决赛项目的点评。

2017年12月3日下午，在卡尔加里西北的一个高尔夫会所，加中商会（CCCA）成功举办了2017加西创新创业路演总决赛。 自5月正式启动活动，经过7月的商业计划书写作培训，9月的企业估值讲座，和10月的选拔赛评选，12月3日，四个入围总决赛的企业进行了激烈的角逐。 经过评委们的审慎评断，共同评出了我们的创业英雄榜。
本次活动得到了中国驻卡尔加里总领事馆的支持，新任总领事陆旭、经济商务领事何东阳、商务副领事冯晓宇以及科技领事柏杰四位重要官员到场参加本次活动。陆旭总领事致开幕词，向生活在加国的华侨、华人表达了祖国对于他们在海外创新创业的支持。商会也邀请了重量级的嘉宾，其中包括中石油加拿大的CEO 付吉林先生，前省议员栾晋生（Jason Luan），以及中国海油工程有限公司加拿大分公司的主要负责人等等。

经过10月的预赛，最终有四位选手进入了总决赛。在12月3日，四位选手分别进行了精彩的演讲，并回答了现场观众和评委的问题。
首先上场的是Mobile Exchange Payment Inc.的张黎明。Mobile Exchange Payment Inc.致力于发展电子支付系统，以方便加中之间的个人和贸易支付。
第二位是Sciridge Technology Inc.的Caroline Feng。Sciridge将作为科研和商业的桥梁，关注于科研成果的商业化。他们现在的项目主要运用于石油行业。
第三位上场的是WeMI Media Inc.的Fred Liu。相对于另外几位技术背景的选手，艺术背景的Fred一上场就以他的风趣引来现场阵阵笑声。他对推动中加文化交流的热情也感染着大家。
最后一位也是唯一一组两人同时演讲的选手。RentalPedia的Peng Zhou和Mike King给大家展现了一个非常完整而全面的商业计划。
经过两个多小时的展示、比赛、问答，活动进入了评分阶段。本次总决赛的评分部分分为专家评委组和观众评委组。专家评分占80%，观众评分占20%。参加活动的观众都积极且认真地参与了评分工作，而专家团的评委们更是针对参赛选手的介绍和项目提出了专业的问题和非常具有建设性的意见。专家团的评委有：
- 克莱尔·迪克森（Claire Dixon），卡尔加里大学商学院的CDL Rockies项目副主任。
- 杰夫·兹迪克斯基博士（Dr. Jeff Zidichouski），加拿大联邦研究院 研究主任
- 汪长青博士（Dr. Max Wang），加拿大Atrum Coal能源公司CEO

经过专家和观众评委谨慎地评判和打分，最终由Caroline Feng带领的Sciridge Technology Inc 团队获得了本次创新创业路演比赛的冠军，不仅获得了由SMPL Robotics Co., Ltd. 赞助的$1688加币的奖金，更得到了众多成功企业家的精妙指点和瞩目。中石油加拿大的CEO付吉林先生为这个团队颁奖， 代表大家表达了对这个创业团队的良好祝愿。
